ORIENTATION
The game always defaults to Landscape facing the player.
THE GAME STARTS IN THE LIBRARY
The Library page requires you to follow steps to create a new book. This is the only time in the game that you need to type letters. Even a single letter is a sufficient name for a book.
The first choice is whether to play as the princess or the frog.
Once you select the princess or frog, a book opens on a page. The princess story-line opens in Chapter Two. The frog story-line opens in Chapter One. The game will skip over pages where your character is absent or unconscious.

Accessibility for players with color vision impairment
We can't say Frog's Princess is perfectly accessible to players with color vision impairment, because even players with no vision impairment complain that the text is sometimes hard to read, given that it is displayed directly over the images. However we made sure that the text contrasts with its outlines in accordance with WCAG guidelines.
Also you may notice that the characters and their props have flat colors and so they show up well against the more painterly backgrounds.
