Riley made the beautiful Medieval world of Kassel in five weeks, and then made the city of Olden and its river in just another week! She is a fantastic artist to work with, hard working, willing, with many ideas and the ability to follow through. Her assets are rich and well thought out and what's more, they're accurately made, named and filed.
SLIDESHOW: The castle of Kassel began as a diorama, then became a blue graybox by Kathy, then a green graybox by Kathy, and finally Riley got hold of it and turned it into a castle in one day!
Kathy thinks maybe hers is better. |

With such a limited list of art assets, Riley questioned why Kathy wanted chrysalids.
In the story, Ramona touches a chrysalis, and says, "We understand so little of the magic of transformation. Do you know a caterpillar absorbs itself? All the parts mingle, and re-join, and form a butterfly out of the mix. When it comes out, how does it know it has wings? How tragic if it went through life with wings, never knowing..." |
Here is Riley (first part of the video) talking about what it was like to work on Frog's Princess.
