Frog's Princess is an unusual visual novel because the choices you make don't change the ending - everybody gets to save the kingdom!

Instead, the thousands of dialogue choices allow you to design your heroes, one page at a time.

Also choose your heroes' hair style, skin tone, hair color and eye color.

First choose whether your book is from Princess Emma's or Prince Francis's point of view.

If you play as a prince, you will not be able to play most of Chapter 2 or any other pages where you are not present and awake.

Title Chapter 2, A Desperate Call, is over a background of a stairs in a stone castle. There are 3 rows of buttons which are inlaid with miniature scenes. The top row has buttons for Chapter 1 to Chapter 8 and the last button is cut off, indicating there are more chapters. The middle row is Scenes 1 through to 5. The bottom row has pages 1 to 9, the last button also cut off. Scenes 1 to 4 and all the page buttons are overlaid with princess heads, indicating you can only open them if you are playing as the Princess.

If you play as a princess, you will not be able to play Chapter 5 or any other scenes where you are not present and awake.

Title Chapter 5, If At First You Don't Succeed, is over a background of a room in a stone castle with a desk with parchment on it. There are 3 rows of buttons which are inlaid with miniature scenes. The top row has buttons for Chapter 2 to Chapter 9 and cut-off buttons on both sides of these. The middle row is Scenes 1 and 2. The bottom row has pages 1 to 9, the last button also cut off. All the scene and page buttons are overlaid with crowned frog heads, indicating you can only open them if you are playing as the Frog Prince.

As you can see below, if you are playing as the Princess, you are unable to ever visit Scenes 1 and 2 in Chapter 1 (but you will see most of Scenes 3 and 4 in a flashback). If you want to visit Scenes 1 and 2, you will need to make a new book and play as the Prince.

In the background, a golden path leads into a forest. A title reads Chapter One, A Dark Encounter. 3 rows of buttons are miniature scenes with labels. The top row of buttons has a princess pointing to the right, indicating you are playing as the princess, and buttons read from Chapter 1 to Chapter 8, the last one cut off, indicating there will be more chapters in the book. The middle row has buttons for Scenes 1 to 4. The bottom row has buttons labelled Pages 1 to 9, the last button cut off. The Scenes 1 and 2 buttons, and all the page buttons, are overlaid with a crowned frog's head, showing they are inactive unless you are playing as the frog prince.

Go anywhere in your book to make changes at any time.

Hero appearances will apply to that book only.
Settings changes will carry through to new books.

Rename the book at any time you like.
Make different versions and keep them in your library.

Library has a bookshelf labelled Shelf 1 of 2. There are 8 books on the shelf. They are titled 12th princess book, 2022 Emma Book, Book to be trashed, Emma, Francis, Kathy's Princess Book, Kye's Prince Book, and Mr Norman - Emma.
